  • Q: Why is the price in Coffindo website keep changing every day?

    A: The coffee price is fluctuating every day. For Arabica, it refers to the New York (NY) terminal closing prices. As for Robusta, it refers to London (LDN) terminal closing prices.

  • Q: I have friends both in and outside of the country. Will I get some commissions if I succeed in selling Coffindo products?

    A: Yes, you will get US$ 25 commission for every ton you have sold.

  • Q: What is the difference between outright price and differential basis?

    A: Outright price is the price that is given at website per today. While the differential basis is Coffindo's differential points based on terminal prices, usually used for long term contracts.

  • Q: Are the prices on Coffindo's website are FOB's?

    A: Our prices on website are FOB Belawan port.

  • Q: Is it possible to purchase less than 1 MT?

    A: Yes, it is possible, but you will be charged in retail price. Conventional price is only applied to minimum purchasing of 1 MT.

  • Q: Can I get some samples for reference?

    A: Yes. We could give you two samples in amount of 350 gram each.

  • Q: Are the samples for free?

    A: We can give you the samples for free. However, if you were to buy for the first time from us, the freight cost will be charged on you.

  • Q: Can I get some samples and make the payment in COD (Cash on Delivery)?

    A: We cannot accept the payment in COD unless you have account on specific courier service. It's better if you transfer the payment directly to our bank account.

  • Q: Is it necessary to have Phytosanitary certificate for domestic purchase?

    A: No. Phytosanitary certificate is not necessary for domestic purchase.

  • Q: Does Coffindo always have the stock ready in your warehouses?

    A: We have stock in our warehouse in Medan. Normally, the shipment will be executed at least two weeks after the contract is signed.

  • Q: Will there be any documents that Coffindo could prepare for export requirement?

    A: Yes. Documents for export will be prepared by Coffindo through our own EXIM (Export & Import) department. The documents will be adjusted to your needs in your country.

  • Q: Are the prices on website included the shipment cost?

    A: No. The shipment cost is not included in our website price. However, we can arrange the shipment.

  • Q: If I were interested in becoming Coffindo's reseller (broker), how is the term and condition?

    A: Broker will be provided with the exact same services as other buyers. We will surely provide you with samples and other things you might need. However, there will be no broker fee unless the discount in amount of US$ 25 per MT. Also, broker can manage to mark up the prices in order to increase your margins.

  • Q: Can Coffindo supply in term of OEM Basis? How about the packaging?

    A: Coffindo will arrange the OEM Basis based on buyer's request. The packaging will be decided by the buyer, but the printing cost will be executed according the prices from Coffindo's various vendors.

  • Q: Will there be any cancellation fee if I happened to cancel the shipment?

    A: Yes, there will be cancellation fee in accordance with the contract value.

  • Q: Could you tell us the dimensions of the jute bags used for packing the coffee beans please?

  • Q: Sumatera Super Peaberry, ELB Green Dino, Jumbo 18 Plus, what class are they in? For instance, Sumatera Super Peaberry is from Sumatera, so can I assume that it is from Mandheling class?

    A: Sumatra Super Peaberry, ELB Green Dino and Jumbo 18+ are our specialty coffee (often said as gourmet coffee). For instance, for ELB Green Dino, we specially hand-picked select the big beans among any other beans. And to answer your question, those gourmet coffee beans are produced in Aceh, so they are classified as Mandheling.
